Neko Atsume: Kitty Collector (Japanese: ねこあつめ?, "Cat Collection") is a cat collecting game developed by Hit-Point for iOS and Android, released on October 20, 2014. Tumblr mun Chair-chan and the the help of a few friends were able to create this AU in which the cats in the game of Neko Atsume are humanized. The designs are all mainly headcanon based by the mun of the cat.

- The Hitonekos (human cats) are basically humans, but have ears and a tail
- Most users follow this url format: ask-hitoneko-(insert cat name here), unless stated otherwise.
- These designs are headcanon based
- Gender/sexuality does not matter. That is why there are non-binary/trans characters (such as Ginger, etc.)
- Shipping is fairly open, although there are some canon pairs (RamXer, etc., as long as they have the approval of the other mun to ship these)
- There are polyamorous shippings as well, such as Rags to Riches (Xerxes x Bob x Ramses), and Shredtches (Shadow x Fred x Patches)
- Muns are allowed to have more than one cat is they're had their blog (and updated it) for a month.They may also reserve a cat in advance.
